Official Launch

Official launching of the Mykka Estorninos Foundation, Inc.

FAYETTEVILLE, AR–The public is cordially invited to the official launching of the MYKKA ESTORNINOS FOUNDATION, INC. (MEF, Inc.) from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. on July 10, 2004 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church Corry Hall, 1722 Starr Drive, Fayetteville, Arkansas. There will be a fund-raising dinner and a cultural presentation by volunteer performers.

MEF, Inc. is a memorial foundation established by friends and family in honor of Mykka Estorninos, a sweet, young, kind-hearted and courageous 16-year old Fayetteville High School honor student from the Philippines who succumbed to osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, on January 25, 2003. The non-profit, public benefit foundation is dedicated to providing assistance to cancer-stricken children and young adults and their immediate family members in Arkansas and an outreach of the same scope in the Philippines.

People who knew Mykka were in awe of her emotional maturity–and the rare breed of courage she exhibited until the very end. Mykka had inspired a lot of people–young and old from all walks of life–not only in Northwest Arkansas but in other places as well. We enjoin the public to help make Mykka’s inspiring legacy to live on by supporting the foundation. Please come and bring a friend.
